BREAKING NEWS-Ex-Governor Okoth Obado rushed to hospital after being stabbed by fellow cellmates
Former Migori Governor Okoth Obado has been rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital in critical condition following an altercation between him and his cellmates, where it has been reported that he was stabbed multiple times.
The incident has been reported to have occurred on Friday at around 3 pm, when the ex- governor was severely injured by fellow inmates following an altercation.
Sources have revealed that Okoth Obado was stabbed 7 times in the chest by two inmates, sustaining life-threatening injuries. He was, however, rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital, where he has been admitted. Police have commenced investigations into the incident to ascertain the motive behind the shocking incident, which almost took the life of the former Governor.
Former Kenyan county governor Okoth Obado has been found guilty of murdering a pregnant 26-year-old university student with whom he had been having an affair.
High Court judge Cecelia Githua had ruled that former Migori Governor Okoth Obado had a clear motive to eliminate Sharon Otieno to protect his reputation and conceal their relationship.
Lady Justice Cecilia Githua rejected Obado’s claim that he had accepted Sharon’s pregnancy and genuinely supported her financially, describing the assertion as insincere.
Obado was being held in a police cell while awaiting a court ruling on the murder of Sharon .
